Truman Bulldogs Try To Extend Their Winning Streak At Jewell

Truman will try and match the longest winning streak in coach Gregg Nesbitt’s 13 years as head coach when the Bulldogs visit William Jewell this Saturday afternoon in Liberty. Nesbitt’s 2018 team won six games in a row. This edition of the Bulldogs won their fifth straight last Saturday night 25-20 over SBU. In the process, Truman became only the 8th program in Division II football to win 600 games….

Jewell is trying to restore a strong tradition of football that was built at the NAIA level. The Cardinals have currently lost 17 straight GLVC games and 30 of their last 31 overall. The school broke ground on a new stadium on October 1st and coach Mike McGlinchey says there are high hopes for the future of Jewell football…..

Truman leads the GLVC in scoring defense (17.3) and total defense (315). Coach Nesbitt is pushing his rushing defense to reach another level against the Cardinals….
