Study Explores Potential Expansion Of Missouri Aquaculture

A recent study funded by four state-level organizations explores how expanding aquaculture could increase opportunities for Missouri’s ag industry.  Matt Amick is the director of biofuels and new uses with Missouri Soybeans, one of the groups that participated in the study.

Amick says whether for food or bait, increasing fish production in the state has the potential to fill demand.

The study titled “Next Generation Aquaculture in Missouri” was also funded by Missouri Corn, University of Missouri Extension, and the Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority.  Four areas were explored in the study; we have a link to each of the four studies with this story on our website.
