Student Threat Postpones The Moberly Homecoming Dance And Stops Little Spartan Games

A threat made by a student has brought about the postponement of the Moberly Homecoming Dance tonight (Sat) and stopped Little Spartan football games at the school. Superintendent Dustin Fanning reached out to district patrons with an email informing them that a Moberly High School student made a specific threat regarding Homecoming. In his letter, Fanning said “local authorities were immediately notified, and we continue to work with other local agencies to neutralize the threat. After assessing the situation, it is with an abundance of caution that the district has decided to postpone the Homecoming Dance until October 8th”. Fanning shared that, legally, the district is not able to share many details with the public.

Our radio station received word that teams and fans were at the field for Little Spartan football games when they were told that the games were called off and the campus was being cleared.
