Slater School District Considering Bond Issue

The Slater School Board is considering bringing a no-tax increase bond issue to district voters this April. Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz says this came as part of a presentation from the district’s financial services provider, L.J. Hart and Company, during the November school board meeting.

The board approved the refunding of the bonds. Lorenz says the HVAC issues are the most pressing concern.

Once the district has an idea of the cost of the project, it will present the bond issue to voters. It needs to be finalized by January 25th in order to be placed on the April ballot.
