Secretary Vilsack’s Thanksgiving List

The annual tradition of giving thanks over dinner tables stacked with our nation’s bountiful harvest takes place later this week.  It should be no surprise that among those giving thanks is USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack.  The secretary provided entries from his list during his virtual appearance before members of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting last week in Kansas City, Missouri.

Vilsack continued to commend Farm Service Agency employees for their role in helping provide over $14 billion in farm loans in the past year.  He also expressed excitement for several recent developments and new programs, including a global climate initiative.

USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack also highlighted efforts to expand meat processing capacity and broadband access in rural communities through the recently enacted infrastructure bill.
