The Salisbury School Board held a special meeting Monday night to approve a contract with Fisher Tracks of Boone, Iowa to begin work on a new community track at the high School. Superintendent Tony Whiston says the contractor is ready to take the first steps.

The Salisbury School District will be working closely with Fisher Tracks Inc. on the layout of the track.

Whiston says they will also need to slightly move the location of the track.

The project is expected to cost up to $750,000. Work on the project is expected to begin in late spring or early summer of this year.
