Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center To Focus On State-Level Projections

Economists and researchers at the University of Missouri’s newest analysis center say they’ll take a ground-up approach to determining the impact policies will have on farmers at the state and local level.  The Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center was launched last month at Mizzou’s College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.  Director Doctor Sarah Low says the center aims to develop models for each state’s farm economy.

Low explains how their research could show how varied the impact of policies and outcomes can be on each state.

A model for Missouri was unveiled during last week’s Missouri Ag Outlook forum, and work is underway on models for Nebraska and Texas.
