Representative Peggy McGaugh Files Multiple Bills to Start 2023 Legislative Session

Representative Peggy McGaugh of Carrollton pre-filed two bills ahead of the session. House Bill 204 is a repeat of a bill she filed late last year. McGaugh says it deals with proceedings of the Judicial Finance Commission.
McGaugh’s second bill offers protections for elected county officials in case of threats of violence.
McGaugh adds the bill establishes different penalties for committing such an offense.
McGaugh also intends to file a companion bill next week for Senator Sandy Crawford’s election integrity bill.
