Rep. Toalson Reisch Pleased with Governor’s Address and Budget Proposal

Governor Mike Parson’s State of the State address was one of the main highlights of the past week in the Missouri Legislature. Representative Cheri Toalson Reisch of Hallsville says she was pleased with several points made in the governor’s speech.

Parson also unveiled his 47-billion dollar budget proposal during the address. The proposal includes 22-million dollars to boost the base pay of Missouri’s K-through-12 public school teachers. Toalson Reisch says this incease is needed.

Parson’s budget proposal is an approximately twelve-billion dollar increase from last year’s proposal.
