Many area residents will travel to meet family and friends for the holidays. However, large gatherings could lead to a rise in COVID-19 cases. Randolph County Health Department Administrator Sharon Whisenand says they’re keeping an eye on the potential for increased cases during the holiday season.

The department is also keeping an eye on the Delta and Omicron variants of the virus. Whisenand explains how.

Residents are reminded they can get their COVID vaccine or flu shot at the Randolph County Health Department. For more information, call the office at 660-263-6643.
