Hallsville Man Seriously Hurt in Motorcycle Accident

A Hallsville man was seriously hurt in a motorcycle accident on Highway 124, north of Hallsville, around 7:20 Thursday morning. The State Highway Patrol says 58-year-old Thomas O’Brien’s motorcycle had a mechanical malfunction north of Shelly Lane. He steered onto the gravel shoulder, and it fell onto the side and slid to a stop. He was taken to Columbia.
