Randolph County Transportation Companies Merge

Randolph County transportation companies have merged. A news release reports STLF Transport LLC has acquired Rice Transport, LLC. The two family-owned companies will now operate under the banner of STLF Transportation.

Based in Huntsville, Rice Transportation is a flat-bed truck line servicing manufacturing companies in the midwestern section of the United States. Rice Transport began operations in 2004 and grew to 14 truck and trailer units delivering steel, lumber and masonry products to customers throughout the Midwest and the Gulf Coast section of the United States.

STLF Transportation is a part of the STLF, Inc. family of companies, and was started in 2014 in Moberly. The company has grown to include a freight brokerage division and STLF Diesel Repair; the fleet maintenance division. STLF is servicing customers in both the United States and Canada.

In the transaction, STLF will gain the back-office staff and the drivers of Rice Transport, along with the assets of the company. The acquisition doubles the size of STLF Transport. The agreement was approved by both ownership groups and became effective Friday, August 5th
