Many superintendents in northern Missouri are voicing concern over Senate Bill 55, which deals with school choice. That list includes Putnam County Superintendent Dr. Heath Halley.

Halley continues.

Senate Bill 55 was considered on the floor earlier this week, but a vote was not taken. Yesterday (Thurs.), the Missouri House approved HB 349, which establishes the Missouri Empowerment Scholarship Accounts Program. The vote was 82-71 for what has also been called the tax credit scholarship or voucher bill. State Representative Danny Busick from Newtown voted for the bill.

That bill now moves to the Senate.
