Progress Being Made on La Plata Elementary Fire Clean Up

It’s been more than a month since a fire significantly damaged the elementary portion of the La Plata School. The blaze forced most elementary students to have classes at the La Plata First Baptist Church. Superintendent Dr. Lucas McKinnis has an update on the clean-up progress.

McKinnis says a mobile kitchen for the displaced students is operational.

The front of the building damaged by the fire will need to be torn down and re-built in the coming months.
