Police Recruiting Incentives in Proposed Moberly City Budget

Police recruiting incentives are built into the proposed budget for the Moberly City Council to consider Thursday night. City Manager Brian Crane says the council was provided a list of options.

Crane says the housing allowance program is pricy, but the council was adamant to keep it along with raising salaries.

Crane says the Moberly Police force should be 27 officers, but there are only 22 on staff now and there are no applicants for the openings.
