Paris Graduate and Former KRES All-Star Briar Hancock Moving to Thayer to Develop as Coach

After leading the Linn Wildcat baseball team to a Class 3 runner-up finish, Paris graduate Briar Hancock is on the move. The former KRES Football All-Star is moving to Thayer in southern Missouri to become an assistant football and baseball coach.

Hancock played four-years of college football at Quincy before accepting a job at Linn as the head baseball coach. Hancock says his former college coach Gary Bass was influential in helping him make this decision.

Thayer football coach Billy Webber was inducted into the Missouri Football Coaches Association Hall-of-Fame in 2019. He’s guided the Bobcats to 11 district championships, state runner-up finishes in 2007, and 2008, and last year’s group made the Class 1 semifinal.
