Over $165k Raised At Sale Of Champions; Chillicothe Entries Set New Records

Trent Haas of Curryville displays his Grand Champion Bacon as auctioneer Mike Williams conducts the 2021 Missouri State Fair Sale of Champions on Saturday (August 21st).  Haas’ bacon sold for $500 to Ditzfield Transfer of Sedalia, but combined with hometown support raised $4500 for Youth in Agriculture Scholarships.

A pair of records were set at Saturday’s Sale of Champions, both by exhibitors from Chillicothe.  Regional Radio’s Kyle Hill has more from Sedalia.

The 119th Missouri State Fair concludes Sunday with the 4H and FFA Supreme Dairy Cattle Championship Drive at 1 p.m., the Homegrown Singer Finals at 2 p.m., and Sprint Car racing beginning at 6 p.m.
