Northwestern Superintendent Details District’s Assistance After Monday’s Train Crash

Northwestern Superintendent Eric Hoyt says the district received a call from Chariton County Emergency Management after the Mendon train derailment Monday.
Hoyt describes the scene.
Amtrak says about 275 passengers and 12 crew members were on board.
The Highway Patrol reported a fourth fatality from Monday’s train derailment in Mendon. The passenger died at a Columbia hospital.
