North Shelby Football Reloads Ahead Of 2023 Season

It will be a different look on the field for the North Shelby Raiders eight-man football team this season. Having graduated KRES All-Star wideout Brendyn McDaniel and starting quarterback J.D. Rich, head coach David Stuckey says the Raiders are confident with their personnel adjustments.

North Shelby’s 8-3 season ended with a 46-40 defeat to Sweet Springs in the district semifinal. Stuckey says a strong line will help establish the run.

Amos Fredrickson had over 2000 yards of total offense in his junior year. State runner-up Bishop LeBlond will be a new opponent for North Shelby week one. St. Paul Lutheran and Orrick each handed the Raiders a loss and return to this year’s schedule.

North Shelby will also travel to Paris and Slater for the first eight-man matchups between the respective schools.
