Newcomers Bolster Truman Women’s Basketball Roster

Newcomers at both ends of the spectrum will bolster the Truman State women’s basketball team in the new season, which tips-off Friday in Quincy. Fifth-year head coach Theo Dean added graduate students Ainsley Tolson and Bailey Kliewer to the roster…..

Tolson, who is from Trenton, played two years at William Jewell, before NAIA seasons at Avila and Baker. She averaged double figures at each stop accumulating over 1,400 points for her career. Kliewer became the fourth player in Rogers State (Okla.) history to score over 1,000 career points and was honorable mention all-MIAA.

There are six freshmen on the Truman State roster. Lexie White, of Merrill, Wisconsin, scored double figures in both exhibition games against Illinois and Iowa State…..

Coach Dean says Molly Joyce brings big game experience from Bishop Garrigan High School, in Algona, Iowa….

Joyce scored 18 against the Fighting Illini.
