New Southern Boone Assistant Superintendent

The Southern Boone County R-I School District has introduced Jacob Watson as the next assistant superintendent for the 2024-2025 school year. Watson is currently the principal at Oak Ridge Intermediate School, in the Camdenton School District, where he has served since 2022. Previously, he was the elementary school principal at Eugene for one year, a school principal at Jamestown for four years and a P.E. and health teacher at Tipton for three years. Watson replaces Christy Jones, who has accepted a job as superintendent for next school year at a district in Southwest Missouri.
