The new CWD season is for all counties in Missouri’s Chronic Wasting Disease Management Zone. Local counties are Macon, Chariton, Adair, Linn, Knox, Sullivan, Putnam, Schuyler and Clark. Lockard says Missouri has done a good job limiting the spread of CWD.

Mandatory sampling for CWD is required in the management zone counties during opening weekend.
