New Macon Mayor Seeks to Improve Communication

Scott Bigham is the new mayor of Macon. He defeated incumbent Talt Holman Tuesday by a vote of 587-514. Bigham says he’s appreciative of his supporters.

Bigham is a native of Macon. He worked for the Missouri State Highway Patrol Communications Division from 1989 to 2015. After retiring, Bigham returned to Macon. As mayor, Bigham is hopeful for more community involvement.

Bigham also has a vision for the city’s departments.

Bigham’s previous political experience was an unsuccessful attempt to win the Macon City Council 1st Ward seat last year.
