New Holiday Acres Emergency Siren Is Active

A new warning siren has been installed at Holiday Acres. Randolph County Emergency Management Director David Gaines says this adds coverage to the northern part of the county….

This the first siren not located in a city or town in Randolph County. Funding for the new equipment was courtesy of a grant from the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency. The new equipment was installed and tested on August 31st. Residents in Randolph County can also receive advance severe weather warnings through alert notification from the National Weather Service on either a cell phone or a traditional land line phone. You can subscribe by going to the Civic Ready link on the City of Moberly’s website. Tornado sirens are tested in Randolph County at 11 the first Wednesday of each month, provided the weather is not threatening.
