MU Curators Approve Architects for North End Zone

The MU Board of Curators Thursday voted unanimously to hire DLR Group of Kansas City for the $250 million north end zone project at Memorial Stadium, which will enclose the north end of the stadium and add new premium seating options. The project should be complete by the start of the 2026 college football season, marking the 100-year anniversary of Mizzou’s first game at Memorial Stadium.

Planned renovations include more than 160,000 square feet of new construction, 14 field-level open-air suites and two new club sections, including a field-level Rock M Club built directly under the Rock M Hill; loge seating options; and mezzanine club luxury outdoor seats. Mizzou will also upgrade restrooms and concessions throughout the stadium, and convert the current field-level Bunker Club in the south end zone to a team recruiting center.

Other planned features include expanded event space, an upgraded stadium sound system, multi-colored LED field lighting, stadium-wide Wi-Fi improvements, and upgraded ribbon boards. The stadium’s capacity will grow from more than 62,000 to almost 65,000.
