A motorcyclist is dead after an accident on I-70 on the east side of Columbia Saturday night. The Columbia Police Department says around 11:20, 53-year-old Ricky Reeves of Columbia was eastbound in the right lane near mile marker 130.8 when he ran into the back of a semi, and remained in the road, where both he and his motorcycle were hit by another unknown vehicle, which left the scene. The motorcycle was pushed off the road, but Reeves remained on the highway, and was hit by a pickup, driven by 80-year-old Patrick Finley of Columbia. Reeves was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither Finley, nor the semi driver, 64-year-old Steven Fish of Greenville, South Carolina, had injuries.
