Monroe City Adult Ag Education To Discuss Sheep, Poultry Management Monday

Presentations on management techniques for poultry, sheep, and small ruminants are set for Monday evening at the Monroe City High School Library.  Steve Yates runs the district’s adult ag education program and says interest continues to grow in managing backyard poultry flocks.

Retired University of Missouri Extension specialist Jesse Lyons will lead the discussion on poultry, while Yates’ son Cary will present on ways to manage populations of sheep and other small ruminants.

The adult ag education program on sheep and poultry management begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Monroe City High School library and is open to the public.
