Moberly Police Respond To Gunfire On Franklin Street
Moberly Police responded to the report of gunfire in the 700 block of Franklin Street Thursday night around 7:45. While in route, officers learned of a physical altercation at the same residence with a male who fled the area on foot. Upon arrival, officers located a male juvenile south of the residence. The subject was determined to be involved in the altercation and was detained.
Officers returned to the residence and contacted numerous individuals. It was determined that a firearm was discharged inside the residence during a physical altercation. The altercation moved outside, and another firearm
was discharged. One female subject was treated on scene for minor injuries.
Moberly Detectives were called to the scene, and they later executed a search warrant. Four adults and three juveniles were detained and transported to the Moberly Police Department. The juveniles were turned over to their guardians and the Randolph County Juvenile Office. The adults were released from custody pending formal charges. The investigation is ongoing.
