Moberly Meets Mexico for an NCMC Doubleheader After Spartans Shocked Bulldogs in Macon

Moberly visits rival Mexico for an NCMC doubleheader Tuesday after both schools played in the Macon Tournament last week. Spartans head coach Cord Hagedorn discusses Moberly’s mindset after it stunned Mexico Thursday.

7-8 Moberly handed 12-1 Mexico its first loss in the Macon Tournament semifinals. Bulldogs head coach Darren Pappas analyzed the 77-71 defeat postgame.

Mexico rebounded with a 68-35 third place victory against Centralia.

The Mexico and Moberly girls meet for the first time this season after the Lady Bulldogs won all three contests last year. Moberly head coach Tony Vestal scouts 10-3 Mexico.

Vestal referenced Mexico junior Mya Miller, who averages 21 points and nine rebounds per game. Lady Bulldogs head coach Ed Costley says Mexico must learn from its 63-40 loss to Macon in the Macon Tournament championship Saturday.
