Moberly Hosts Fulton in NCMC Girls Soccer Clash

The Moberly Lady Spartans will conclude the conference portion of their regular season schedule when they host Fulton Thursday evening. Moberly opened the week with a 5-2 win over Mexico before having their Tuesday game at Fatima postponed. Head coach Chris Buckman says the extra day off should help in the long run.

Moberly comes in with a record of 8-9 on the season and are 4-5 in NCMC play. They defeated Fulton earlier this season by a score of 2-0. Buckman says his team will be in for a tough rematch.

Fulton is coached by first-year head coach Bridger Pretz, who is a 2013 Moberly graduate. Pretz was named as the new Moberly boys soccer coach last month. He currently oversees a Lady Hornet squad that is 2-15 on the season. Their lone wins have come against Marshall and Battle. Buckman says they need to have the right mental approach against Fulton.

Game time for Thursday’s matchup between Moberly and Fulton has been moved to 5:00. Pregame coverage on KWIX will begin at 4:45.
