Moberly Council Examines New Budget

The new Moberly city budget is a step closer to approval. Finance Director Greg Hodge says initially they had been looking at a one point nine million dollar deficit in the general fund.

While the situation will be reviewed later in the year, there are no pay raises included in the new spending plan.

The budget, which was reviewed during a work session Monday, is expected to be approved during a special meeting near the end of the month.
