The Moberly City Council approved the new city budget during a special meeting Thursday afternoon. City Manager Brian Crane outlines the approximately $30 million spending plan.

Crane says addressing employee compensation is important to the council.

The budget does include the rebuild of the airport’s main runway, which is funded completely, thanks to CARES Act money. That saves the city about $650,000 on the project that totals about $6 million. The vote to approve the budget, which takes effect on July 1st, was unanimous.
