The Missouri River Valley Steam Show turns 60 this year. The annual show at the Brady Farmstead Showgrounds in Boonville runs this Thursday through Sunday. Past President Dennis Ficken discusses the origins of the show.

The show later moved to the former Cooper County Youth Fairgrounds. It then moved to its current location in 2000. Ficken explains the transition to the Brady Farmstead Showgrounds.

They’ve also developed a new pulling track for tractor pulls during the show. Ficken says the growth has been impressive.

A wristband pass to this year’s Missouri River Valley Steam Show costs ten dollars and is good for all four days.
