Missouri House Budget Beginning to Take Shape

Work is beginning to ramp up on the Missouri House Budget for Fiscal Year 2021. The House Budget Appropriations Committee met this week to recommend amendments to the budget. Ranking Minority Member of the House Budget Committee, Kip Kendrick, explains how this process works.
The House Budget Committee will review the recommendations over the next several weeks. Kendrick provides a timeline for sending the budget to the Senate.
Among the recommendations being pushed through include 4.5-million dollars for community colleges from the Sub-Committee on Education Appropriations for the Fiscal Year 2021 budget.
