The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering a free fire making and outdoor cooking program this month. The program will be held April 28th from 5 to 7 pm at the Boone County Nature School located at the Three Creeks Conservation Area south of Columbia. Participants will learn how to cook a hearty dinner outside in a Dutch oven. Conservation Department presenters will give tips on how to pack ingredients for a campsite meal and how to cook the ingredients. After dinner is prepared and cooked, participants will be able to enjoy the meal along with s’mores over an open fire. For more information, call Missouri Department of Conservation Educator Ashley Edwards at 573-522-4115, extension 3420.
