Missouri Corn Issues Seven Scholarships

Three area high school seniors will have part of their tuition at the University of Missouri covered by Missouri Corn growers.  Hugh Baker of Memphis, Larissa Larrick of Shelbina, and Aliza Yoder of Leonard will each receive a $1000 scholarship from the Missouri Corn Growers Association and the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council.  Baker will graduate this spring from Scotland County High School and plans to study agribusiness management.  Larrick is set to graduate from South Shelby and will study agriculture education, while Yoder will soon graduate from North Shelby and pursue a degree in plant sciences.

This is the 28th year that Missouri Corn has offered scholarships to high school and college students.  Eligible recipients must be from a farm or rural area, and have plans to major in agronomy or a related subject.  Applications for next year’s scholarships will open December 15th on the Missouri Corn website.
