Miller Takes Over as Monroe City Mayor

Thursday’s Monroe City Board of Aldermen meeting was the first for new mayor Ron Miller. Miller served as an alderman from 2004 to 2010. He discusses what led him to return to city office.

Miller takes over for Melissa Hays, who served as mayor for the past two years. Hays spent much of her tenure working through city staffing issues. The city is seeking a new treasurer. Miller says he’s looking forward to working with the board of aldermen.
