During this month’s Milan School Board meeting, the board reviewed a report on this year’s summer classes in the school district. Milan Superintendent Dr. Ben Yocom says summer school ran a bit differently this year.

Summer classes in Milan were extended from 20 days to 24 this year. While many aspects of this year’s summer school were well received, Yocom says the extra days didn’t receive the same positive reviews.

However, the new class offerings to help students catch up for lost time during the pandemic were received positively.

Enrollment for this year’s summer school was 337. Classes for the 2021-22 school year in Milan began Monday.
