Milan School District to Re-Bid for Building Project Late this Year

Earlier this summer the Milan School District rejected bids for the second phase of its long-term building project due to higher than expected costs. Superintendent Dr. Ben Yocom says the district is taking its time before re-bidding.

Plans for this phase of the building project include the construction of four new elementary classrooms and two sets of bathrooms. Yocom says the board is considering some different aspects of the project in the meantime.

The Milan School District plans to provide alternative options for the project to contractors in order to keep the construction bids down.
