Mexico City Council Approves Next Budget

The Mexico City Council Monday approved the budget for the fiscal year starting October 1st. City Manager Bruce Slagle says the projected expenditures come in at around 26.9 million dollars.

Some of those grants are for stormwater and wastewater projects through the Department of Natural Resources. Total revenues are estimated to be more than 24 million dollars, with the difference made up by project reserves, unreserved surpluses from prior years’ budgets and American Rescue Plan Funds. The council also approved a contract for just under 100 thousand dollars for a new maintenance building at the Elmwood Cemetery.
