Clare Breden scored 27 points to lead the McKendree women to a 76-71 victory over Truman in Lebanon, Illinois this afternoon (Sat.). It is the first time in 14 tries the Bearcats beat the Bulldogs as GLVC opponents.
McKendree had a 12 point lead with just over eight minutes left in the game. The Bulldogs scored nine in a row to make it a one-possession game. The Bearcats pushed the advantage to 70-64 before Emma Bulman gave Truman a chance….

Truman also had twice as many fouls as McKendree, with 24, and the Bearcats held a 23-7 advantage in points at the free throw line. Bailey Kliewer scored 17. The Truman men lost a Concordia-St. Paul 96-54. Blaise Porter was the only Bulldog in double figures with 12. The ‘Dogs drop to 2-3 and will play Southwest Minnesota State Sunday at 2:00.
