Marceline Set to Defend Softball State Title

After capturing its first state championship in program history last season, the Marceline Lady Tigers return with high expectations this season. Coach Todd Lowther says the Lady Tigers have a good core returning.

The Lady Tigers finished with a 28-3-1 record last season, including 20 consecutive wins to end the year. Lowther explains how last year’s title run impacts the team’s mindset going into this season.

Lowther highlights other players he expects to make an impact.

Lowther enters his 20th year as head coach of the Lady Tigers. Marceline has won five district championships the last six seasons and finished third in the state in 2019. Lowther discusses the run of success the Lady Tigers have seen since 2016.
