A Macon woman escaped injuries in an accident in Phelps County that left three women injured, one seriously. The State Highway Patrol says around 1:55 Saturday afternoon, on Highway 63 about seven miles south of Rolla, 46-year-old Kimberly Salter of Rolla failed to yield as she turned left onto the highway. Her car was struck by an SUV driven by 78-year-old Judy Watson of Houston, Missouri. Watson’s vehicle was then struck by an SUV driven by 20-year-old Daisy Slagle of Macon. Salter had serious injuries, and was flown to Columbia. Watson had moderate injuries, and her passenger, 59-year-old Teresa Gaston of Bucyrus, had minor injuries. They were taken to Rolla.
