Over the years, cell phones have created distractions and led to the rise of cyberbullying in Missouri schools. Macon Interim Superintendent Dr. Brent Hodge says they’re working on a cell phone crackdown.

Cell phones had been used in the Macon School District for educational purposes. However, the rise of Chromebooks in the classroom has made their use obsolete. Hodge explains some of the cell phone policies they’re considering.

The Macon School District’s current cell phone policy leaves it up to each teacher’s discretion.
