Macon Man Killed In An Accident On Route 3

A Macon man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Route 3, eight miles northwest of Atlanta at 5:00 Thursday afternoon. The State Highway Patrol reports a Caravan driven by 68-year old Cecil Bender skidded off the west side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned, partially ejecting him. Bender was pronounced dead at the scene.
