MACC Sweeps State Fair
The MACC basketball teams swept State Fair Saturday night at Fitzsimmons-John Arena. The Lady Hounds were led by Bryce Dowell’s 17 points in a 111-51 win over State Fair.
J.B. Connoley with the call on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com. Ambranette Storr added 13 and NJ Weems had 12 as six Lady Hounds scored in double digits. Nine different Lady Hounds had eight or more points. Coach Hana Haden said everyone contributed.
Moberly is now 9-2, 4-1 in Region 16. State Fair falls to 0-5, and 0-4 in the region.
The men jumped out on State Fair early and held on for an 82-69 win.
Cortez Mosely finished with 11 points. Dezi Jones led the Greyhounds with 16. Tyren Moore and Sincere Parker each had 14. Coach Pat Smith said his team played pretty well in the first half.
Moberly is 10-3, 3-1 in the region. State Fair falls to 5-6, and 0-4. Both Moberly teams host Mineral Area Monday night. We’ll have the pregame at 4:50, women at 5 and men around 7 on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com.
