MACC Softball Opens Season in Alabama

The Moberly Lady Greyhounds softball team opens the season Friday morning in Gulf Shores, Alabama, with games against Holmes of Mississippi and Central Alabama. Coach Matt Bauer says they’ll play two more Saturday before heading to Meridian, Mississippi.
The team went 16-31 a year ago. Bauer says having a sophomore class now to pass things along to the freshmen class will make a big difference.
However, the sophomores still have to battle for playing time.
He says Moberly High graduate Mady Klostermann has taken her pitching to another level.
