Stoubaugh says Perdue will contract with organic farmers ranging from Delaware to South Carolina to grow up to ten-thousand acres of beans with the high-oleic trait.  He says ongoing research will open up more markets for the group’s patented trait.

Missouri Soybeans Licensing Director Bryan Stobaugh credits soy checkoff investment in research to identify and marketize the high oleic traits first discovered in Southeast Missouri.  He says deals like the one recently inked with Perdue AgriBusiness show that the checkoff’s investment is paying off.
