University of Missouri Extension will have a statewide program next Wednesday on growing lavender in Missouri. “Growing the Missouri Lavender Industry” will take place from 6-8pm on Zoom. Jennifer Schutter from Adair County Extension will be one of the four presenters.

So far, she has found that some cultivars grow better than others.

Some cultivars have had root rot, while others were not affected. The program will also go over protecting lavender in the winter.

The program is open to everyone, from home gardeners to commercial producers. It is free, but participants need to register with their local extension office or on the extension website to get the Zoom link.
