La Plata Man Injured in Macon County Accident

A La Plata man was injured in a one vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Macon County. The accident occurred at 1 am on Highway 63, one mile south of Atlanta. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by 30-year old Tyler McHenry traveled off the right side of the road and struck a field entrance. McHenry’s vehicle then became airbourne and struck an embankment. McHenry suffered serious injuries and was transported by Macon County Ambulance to Macon and then by Air E-vac to Columbia for treatment. McHenry wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
